We all have experienced pain in our life.

Sometimes we have headaches that are cured more by the water we drink with the aspirin than by the actual pill itself.

This same deficiency is our body’s way of alerting us when it needs attention.

I can tell by the way my skin feels without lotion if I need to drink more water or more oil is needed in my diet. Certain foods also add extra nourishment to our hair, skin and nails but there is nothing like water.

There is also a pain that occurs from blockages in our body’s energy stream. Many people carry their tension in their shoulders, legs and lower back; this pain is a result of an accumulation of stress. Stress can be brought on by many different things.

Unresolved issues are one of the biggest culprits; not just from recent but history of long ago. Issues that we may have pushed down so deep that we have removed them from our conscious mind.

In our effort to forget the memory that is not really gone it is now a living part of our life and festering in our body until one day we notice the pain. Maybe we can’t quite put our finger on its origin but still it grows and lingers.

If you can remember its starting point; isolate it in a box, tie a string to it and the other end to a balloon. Watch it drift away and soon the pain will be gone with it.

Pain from old emotional traumas is common and usually unresolved. Don’t lament about it, compartmentalize it, purge and feel relief.

With proper care all wounds heal in time.
